CONFLICT ZONE: FEBRUARY 10 - 17
The New York City Fire Museum presents “Conflict Zone,” a special photo exhibit by 20 combat photographers working in Afghanistan and Iraq. This is the first collaboration of its kind. Both civilian and military journalists are represented in the exhibit, including several currently deployed or on assignment. An opening reception will be held at the Fire Museum on February 10 from 6 to 9 PM. The reception is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served. The exhibit is for one week only and closes February 17.

To see select pieces from the show and to learn more about the photograhers, visit www.conflictzone.org

This exhibit is sponsored by the FDNY Family Transport Foundation, the Independence Fund and the Chris Hondros Fund.

The New York City Fire Museum houses one of the nation's most prominent collections of fire related art and artifacts from the late 18th Century to the present. Among its holdings are painted leather buckets, helmets, parade hats and belts, lanterns and tools, volunteer-era hand pumped fire engines, horse drawn vehicles and early motorized apparatus.
FDNY SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL

FDNY Chaplain Father Mychal Judge's Helmet and Bunker Coat are now part of this permanent memorial and available for viewing.

FIRE SAFETY EDUCATION
The Museum, in conjunction with the FDNY, operates a world-class fire safety education program designed to teach participants how to prevent fires within the home and importantly, how to protect themselves and escape should one occur.
